Towards Techno-Industrial Innovations
With the support of the President, Dr. Abdallah AlHawaj, the department of Computer Science and Engineering from the College of Mathematical Sciences and Information Technology in Ahlia University, has dynamically attended the 4th conference of IEEE GCC titled "Towards Techno-Industrial Innovations" that was held in Bahrain from Nov 12 till Nov 14
With the support of the President, Dr. Abdallah AlHawaj, the department of Computer Science and Engineering from the College of Mathematical Sciences and Information Technology in Ahlia University, has dynamically attended the 4th conference of IEEE GCC titled "Towards Techno-Industrial Innovations" that was held in Bahrain from Nov 12 till Nov 14.
Presentations covered many areas of Computer Science and Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Mobile technologies, and their impact on various industries. An open panel discussion on IEEE standards debated the role of the GCC region and its contribution to setting such standards. Also, the panel acknowledged the importance of the academic field in introducing IEEE standards in classrooms and promoting students awareness of IEEE effective role in industry from both technical and professional perspectives.
The students were very enthusiastic about their first participation in a professional conference especially that some presentations were directly related to course topics covered in class. Faculty and students are interested in more active participation of Ahlia University in such event and looking forward to attending the next IEEE GCC conference.
